(Los Angeles) — Assemblymember Reggie Jones-Sawyer (D-Los Angeles) hosted a packed Town Hall on Commercial Cannabis at the Roy A. Anderson Recreation Center in Exposition Park, marking the first of its kind, in the predominately diverse community. Joined by panel of who’s who in state policy and regulation of this new industry, state partners included Lori Ajax, Chief of the Bureau of Medical Cannabis Regulation; California Department of Food and Agriculture; Division of Food, Drug and Cannabis Safety, California Department of Public Health; California Governor’s office of GO-Biz; and the Director of California Department of Consumer Affairs.

The Assemblymember reiterated the states focus on setting the bar on safety and productivity when it comes to cannabis here in California stating, "It is my belief that California will have the best regulated market, not only in this country but the world.”
